These are the shifts for the PINELAND BAPTIST CHURCH SECRETARY - Please read this brief job description first, then scroll down to see the available shifts.

IMPORTANT: The start time of the shift is the time you are expected to arrive at the venue - setup time has already been built into the schedule.
In addition, this year there is only 30 minutes between the end of the morning session and the beginning of the afternoon session, so if you're volunteering for both, you may want to consider bringing a lunch.

You will sit inside the sanctuary at the right front of the pews with a view of the audience and adjudicator (to your left), the waiting performers (in front of you) and the stage (front right).
You will:
  • make an opening announcement to each new class,
  • organize the participants in order of performance as per the day sheet (schedule),
  • collect the music from the participants and deliver same to the adjudicator,
  • complete certificates for the first, second and third place participants and
  • hand out medals and ribbons to the participants (or deliver them to the adjudicator for presentation to the participants).
Good penmanship/printing skills are important, as is the ability to speak in front of a group.

NOTE: Your shift is not confirmed until after your application is reviewed by the Volunteer Coordinator. If your PVSC is more than one year old but less than five (5) years old, you must complete an Offence Declaration form - available HERE.

The personal information collected from volunteers will only be used for the purposes of the Rotary Burlington Music Festival, and will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it is collected without the consent of the individual to whom the information relates or as required by law.
